Solo Competition Details

Instruments: Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass

Divisions

• Rising Stars Division (Ages 5–12)

  • Group A: Ages 5–6

  • Group B: Ages 7–8

  • Group C: Ages 9–10

  • Group D: Ages 11–12

• Next Generation Division (Ages 13–18)

  • Group E: Ages 13–14

  • Group F: Ages 15–16

  • Group G: Ages 17–18

• Professional Artist Division (Ages 19–31)

• Amateur Division (Open to non-professional adults of all ages)

  • Amateur 1: Ages 18–34

  • Amateur 2: Ages 35–55

  • Amateur 3: Ages 56 and above (no upper age limit)

• Preliminary Round Video Submission Deadline: 21 February 2026

Competition Rounds by Division

Rising Stars Division (Ages 5–12)

Preliminary Round (Video Submission)

• Application Fee: 55 USD

• Video Requirements:

  • Submit one solo piece, duration 2–5 minutes.

  • If longer than 5 minutes, record only up to 5 minutes. Indicate actual recording time.

  • Single, unedited take. Multiple camera angles optional.

  • Minimum quality: 1080p with clear audio (external microphones recommended).

• Performance Requirements:

  • Must be performed from memory.

  • Upload to the competition’s YouTube portal by the deadline.

Final Round (Live Streamed Recording on YouTube)

• Application Fee: 100 USD

• Recording Requirements:

  • Submit one solo piece in full length, single-take, no edits.

  • May repeat the preliminary piece.

Next Generation Division (Ages 13–18)

Preliminary Round (Video Submission)

• Application Fee: 75 USD

• Video Requirements:

  • Submit one solo piece, duration 3–10 minutes.

  • Single, unedited take. Multiple angles allowed but not required.

  • Quality: 1080p or higher, with clear audio (external microphones recommended).

• Performance Requirements:

  • Perform from memory.

Final Round

• Application Fee: 110 USD

• Recording Requirements:

  • Submit one solo piece, single-take. Same or different from preliminary.

Professional Artist Division (Ages 19–31)

Preliminary Round (Video Submission)

• Application Fee: 85 USD

• Video Requirements:

  • Submit one solo piece, approx. 5 minutes.

  • If longer, submit the first 5 minutes or the complete work.

  • Single, unedited take. Multiple angles optional.

  • Quality: 1080p or higher, clear audio recommended.

• Performance Requirement: Free-choice repertoire.

Future Opportunities

• 1st–3rd Prize and Special Prize winners may receive invitations for further performances internationally.

• Selected winners will be invited for interviews and media features.

Best Interpretation Awards

• One recipient per instrument category.

• Award may not be granted if required standards are not met.
